Flight
I booked my flight with Thomas Cook and my travel insurance with them as well. On the outward journey I Had lots of leg room but the downside was that i didn’t expect to pay for the water or the headphones to listen to their movie.
Arriving in Antalya
We arrived in Antalya at about 2am from then we waited for our baggage which took 1 hour. after we had our baggage we left the airport and their were taxis waiting outside the airport but you have to speak to the conductor first and then when he knows were you want to go he will tell a driver were you want to go so it saves time and money as you do not have to drive around in circles. It cost us about 45 YTL to get from the Airport to the Mavi Ani Pension where we were staying because it was after midnight.
We then walked around because there was no one at the Mavi Ani at the time we arrived so we had to try to find another pension we started walking around the streets looking for the Ozmen Pension their were dogs and cats waking around everywhere. eventually we decided to phone the Ozmen and one of the employees came out to get us and gave us a temporary room until the next morning then we would be moved to a room upstairs.
Ozmen Pension
At the ozmen the employees are very friendly and happy to help you out when needed they have a safe for you to put your belongings into and the breakfast is served at 8:30am to 10am. They will pick you up from the airport if you ask and drop you back off when you leave.
Kelieci
This is the old area of Antalya it is very safe as every vehicle that goes in has to pass a tole booth were its license plate is checked and noted down for entry and exit, it is also full of merchants who will try to sell tourists there items for roughly about 3 x the actual store price and also always ask for prices in Turkish Lira and stay up to date with the exchange rates.
